P&G released its 14th annual sustainability report, which includes information about how it has reduced its energy, waste, water and CO2 manufacturing footprints over the past five years. It highlights the progress P&G has made in specific areas, including Products, Operations and Social Responsibility.

One of the report’s highlights is P&G’s pledge to help achieve Zero Net Deforestation by 2020, as a member of the Consumer Goods Forum. To help achieve this, one of its goals is to make sure all of its paper packaging contains either recycled or third-party certified virgin content by 2020.

“P&G’s commitment to environmental and social sustainability is unwavering,” said Bob McDonald, P&G’s chairman, president, and CEO. “From our founding, we have invested in the communities where we sell our products, and we have embraced the responsibility of ethical and sustainable operations. To grow and thrive for another 175 years requires us to accelerate our sustainable innovation and resource efficiency so that we have less environmental impact and, at the same time, continue to invest in our communities to help create the conditions for future growth.”
